BIOASTER and SME
The relationship between BIOASTER and the SMEs started even before the official kick-off of the Institute.
SMEs supported the nomination of BIOASTER and contributed to the setting-up of the Institute by participating at different focus groups. One mission of the Institute is to contribute to the development of the socio-economic framework at the region level, and strengthening the link between SMEs and BIOASTER is part of it. Consequently, an SME is member of the Board as representative of the economic world.
Meetings between SMEs and BIOASTER scientists are organized, with BIOASTER as the main driver. They help in identifying the focal points that would potentially lead to the development of collaborative projects.
As part of its continuous improvement of quality process, BIOASTER reviewed the situation with SMEs, between February and May 2015, and identified new axes of development. Among them, BIOASTER will extend its framework to other SMEs at the country and global levels, in the domain of microbiology.
