Abstract: Faecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) is widely reported to be an effective treatment
against recurrent Clostridium difficile infections. Recent clinical evidence supports the
therapeutic use of FMT for a wide range of pathologies including inflammatory bowel disease,
oncology, obesity, and other functional or metabolic disorders.
About the IABS:
This IABS sponsored webinar aims to provide a multi-disciplinary perspective of ongoing
efforts to understand the potential of FMT to treat clinical disorders. These include evaluation of
safety, efficacy, clinical trial design, and the potential for standardization across these areas.
Speakers will review recent scientific advances for the technical, regulatory, and standardization
efforts surrounding FMT.
Recognized experts will give insights into state-of-the art approaches and methods developed by
international organizations and institutions.
